Company Description Colby Community College, located in the northwest corner of Kansas, was established in he spring of 1964. The college has grown from 99 students in the fall of 1964 to approximately 1,800 in 2013. In addition to an 80-acre main campus, the college has a 64-acre farm located just a few minutes east of Colby.

In addition to on-campus classes, CCC accommodates hundreds of off-campus students by offering classes at 24 locations in the 14-county service area and through online and hybrid courses.

Job Description Colby Community College is accepting applications for the Vice President of Academic Affairs . The Vice President of Academic Affairs is responsible for instructional leadership of the college including management, supervision and evaluation of all academic programs. The Vice President of Academic Affairs is a member of the senior leadership team of the college reporting directly to the President. Master’s degree required/doctorate preferred. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of community colleges and their services. The successful candidate will develop and supervise departmental budgets, ascertain compliance with all Kansas Board of Regents’ and accrediting agencies’ regulations and develop and administer policies, procedures, and practices for faculty members and students. Experience with a faculty union preferred. Understanding of the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, a sense of humor, and ability to work as a team to increase enrollment in a rural setting is necessary. Ability to initiate new programs of study and development of international student pool is essential.
