In a dyad relationship with the Nurse Manager, this position is responsible for leading the Regions Hospital Emergency Department. The three primary leadership components of this position include:
• Financial management - responsible for tracking financial performance for the Emergency Department including Emergency Medicine physician practices through business analysis, budget management, project management, business office operations (coding, billing, reimbursement), and computer/data analysis. This includes strategic financial leadership to support improved financial performance by establishing measures, to improve revenue, cost, and standardization.
• Day to day operations - provide leadership in performance improvement at an organizational, department, process and individual level. Manage all aspects of major projects and/or multiple mid-sized projects in support of organizational strategic goals. Provide expertise and facilitate development of standardized approaches to creating departmental performance improvement plans, defining appropriate aims and measures, analyzing and interpreting data, managing change and facilitating improvement teams. Mentors individuals and teams in improvement methods, project management, change management, group dynamics and planning methods. Select and implement solutions and develop appropriate monitor and control plans to ensure implementation and hardwiring change.
• Western Wisconsin Emergency Medicine Leadership – Key management lead across continuum of emergency medicine locations including, but not limited to St. Croix Falls, Hudson, New Richmond, and other new locations.
Bachelor's Degree in management, finance, healthcare and/or business related fields required. Master's Degree in business administration or healthcare administration required.
Five (5) years experience in healthcare finance, management, operations or related field required.
Additional skills: in-depth knowledge of program development, practice management, & systems integration; ability to demonstrate superior leadership, change management, and communication skills; demonstrated success in effective collaboration with physicians and staff; able to lead, direct, collaborate & motivate multidisciplinary teams of employees.
