Ralph W. Earl Company is a provider of automation components and systems for applications in industrial manufacturing and mobile equipment. As a distributor, they represent approximately 60 manufacturers of pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, process, and mechanical equipment. They were founded in 1954 and employ approximately 55 people at their home office in Syracuse and field offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Clifton Park, Binghamton, Elmira, Watertown, and Bradford, PA. They also provide subcontract assembly, fabrication, repair, and engineering services.
Position: Outside Sales
Represent the company and suppliers’ companies in a defined geographic territory
Regular face-to-face contact with decision makers at existing and target accounts
Maintain existing business
Grow market share through new opportunities at existing customers and new customers
Prospect for new business opportunities
Define opportunities and maintain a sales plan utilizing CRM software
Complete training requirements at home office in Syracuse and on location at suppliers’ facilities
Provide continuous feedback on wins and opportunities being pursued
Work with sales support staff to maximize growth opportunity in defined territory
Work with sales management to understand and comply with company strategic objectives
4-year Technical or Business degree
Interest in Selling Technical (Mechanical and Electrical) Products
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office programs
