Responsible for coordinating and managing contracted homecare services in the support of sponsored projects and Phase I - IV clinical studies in a variety of therapeutic areas.
Responsible for on-time, on-budget provision of deliverables for assigned projects.
Define and manage project resource needs and establish contingency plans for key resources.
Participate in the development and revision of documents and study support materials (homecare training manuals, homecare visit forms, etc).
Track progress of projects and identify appropriate actions to achieve target objectives.
Serve as the lead point of contact for Sponsors, Investigator Sites and Homecare Agencies participating in the study.
Review documentation/case report forms for completeness and accuracy.
Review, verify, and approve invoices for study related services.
Maintenance of study files and trial tracking systems.
Liaise with vendors, pharmacies, and homecare agencies.
Initiate improvements to enhance the efficiency and the quality of the work performed on assigned projects.
Interact with internal work groups to evaluate needs, resources and timelines.
Conduct literature searches; assist in the development of data collection instruments; and participate in regular meetings with clients/sponsors.
Assist with training, mentoring, and development of new Clinical Research Project Managers, as the need arises.
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in the Life Sciences or Healthcare field.
Clinical research experience- minimum 2 years.
Home infusion or homecare experience strongly preferred.
Project coordination or project management experience strongly preferred.
Well-organized and able to multi-task.
A strong interest in and aptitude for research monitoring and quality control.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Positive, proactive, and energetic attitude.
Able to perform at a high level, producing quality results in the desired timeframe.
Able to work well independently and as a team member.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Takes initiative while following directives.
Sound knowledge of medical terminology and clinical monitoring process.
Proficient computer skills, including word-processing, database management, spreadsheets, email and calendaring.
Minimal, if any, travel anticipated.
Requires constant sitting with occasional standing, walking, kneeling and stooping.
Requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects and the ability to reach with hands and arms.
Constant talking and hearing.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
