Product Specialists assist with and participate in product planning and execution throughout the entire product life cycle, from concept through end-of-life planning. They have a strong understanding of the competitive features and capabilities and market trends that may impact a successful new product launch. Product Specialists conduct buy vs. build analyses, create business cases for proposed new features, and identify requirements for future and current products in the context of the company's strengths and capabilities, technologies, quality, costs, customer interactions, and marketplace demands. They develop high level business requirements, and oversee and approve user experience and test scenarios. Product Specialists work with Sales to develop value proposition presentations and demo scenarios. They perform research and analysis and provide input to the product vision and strategy, the product solution development plan, the product roadmap, pricing models, positioning in the marketplace, and the launch process. Product Specialists develop, track, and report on multiple products simultaneously, in various cycles of development. They apply technical expertise, business acumen, product knowledge, and industry experience to effectively manage the product lifecycle. High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years product management experience or 4 years implementation consulting, client relationship, applications analysis, marketing, software development, and/or project management experience.
Experience with provider contracting, provider pricing arrangements including programs such as payment bundling, pay for performance and risk/shared savings programs.
