This role works in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff to provide services to patients and their families. They are engaged in independent decision-making about health care needs and provides health care services to individuals and their families. Performs a comprehensive history, including chart review and information gathered from the family and performs physical and psychological health assessments. This role will also assist in the development of a cancer survivorship program and serve as the primary clinical provider in the survivorship clinic.
Masters in Nursing or Graduate of an accredited formal physicians assistant training program.
Minimum experience 3 years as a certified NP or PA in a clinical setting preferred. Prefer 2 or more years of experience in Oncology.
Open to new graduate NP/PA's who have had experience in an oncology clinical/educational setting.
•Current Minnesota RN license. NP certification in relevant specialty through the ANCC/ONCC.
•Approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges.
•Current National Council Certified Physician Assistant certification
•Current Minnesota Physician Assistant license
•Approved by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges
Must Possesses active DEA Number
Support 2 gyn/onc surgeons. Position is clinic based. surgical and chemotherapy experience desired.
