Clinical IT Service Desk Technician (Tier 1) will support The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) and is responsible for providing help desk functionality in support of health care delivery for approximately 9400 customers. This architecture consists of standard Department of Defense (DoD) Health Affairs and JTF CapMed Automated Information Systems (AIS), commercial off the shelf systems (COTS), and locally developed systems.

Qualifications: The following requirements have been put forth by the government and are a must.
•Must have at least 3 years of Clinical IT help desk experience and knowledge of Military Health clinical applications
•Shall possess an understanding of clinical workflows and their dependencies upon the desktop operating environment including all major clinical applications in use at WRNMMC.
•Shall possess a working knowledge of the current Desktop Operating System and other software being utilized at the WRNMMC campus, as evidenced by experience or course completion.
•Shall have complex and progressive experience in a Microsoft computer support environment with experience in a Microsoft customer service and support environment in a large critical environment, preferably medical.
•Shall be experienced in the use of a work order tracking system, preferably the ticketing system.
•Shall have a working knowledge of workstation maintenance and support.
•Shall demonstrate the highest possible standards of customer support and produce maximum customer satisfaction.
•Shall support the current work order tracking system and document all facets of customer support and maintain a resolution database and an asset management database.
•Shall possess a working technical knowledge of products in use or being considered for use at WRNMMC, including, but not limited to, SCCM, WSUS, the ticketing system, and Microsoft Active Directory.
Education Required:
Technical AAS (Equivalent =1 year of experience/1 year of school

All positions requires to have ONE of the following certifications: Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+, CompTIA Network+, or (ISC)2 SSCP
a) Training/certifications required:
(1)CompTIA A+ 220 601 IT Essentials IASO
(2)CIO G-6/NETCOM Information Assurance IA Technical Level 1
(3)CompTIA A+ 220 602 IT Technician
(b) One of the following Certifications must be obtained and verified:
(1) A+
(2) Network+
(3) SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
Because this is a secured U.S Military Facility- The employee will be accessing government computers. The employee Must be able to obtain a secret clearance and pass a National Agency check. (Details will be discussed in interview)
