The General Manager will be charged with driving profitability at the location, building cross-functional flexible teams, establishing the highest customer service standards and solidifying relationships with both the franchisors and the airport director. This strategic role will be responsible for all operational aspects of the locations including profitability, hiring and training staff, interaction with airport client, and juggling extreme peaks and valleys of clientele among the multiple locations.
Coordinate all P&L functions for locations, including budgeting, payroll and statement preparation; Develop personnel plans for recruiting, hiring, training and developing managers and staff for each location; Establish strong relationship with airport director and individual franchisee. This role will be the key local interface for SSP America to the local client and franchisee and will impact corporate reputation nationwide; Develop energized, flexible, cohesive teams that can respond to extreme peaks of passengers while developing best in class customer service; Hands on assistance during times when the manager or staff is not available; Establish and clearly communicate corporate objectives and vision to staff relating to performance, customer service and profitability; Engage the staff to embrace the culture of best in class customer service across all levels of the organization; Develop detailed presentations to management around objectives and goals relating to profitability
Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years experience of F&B operations leadership; Fast food and/or casual dining experience helpful; Experience in logistics (commissary) management and inventory control, as well as multi-location management experience necessary; Additional qualifications include: Knowledge of cash and inventory mgmt, P&L reports and financial analysis; ability to improve sales and customer service; ability to maintain professional business relationships with suppliers and landlords; Union experience helpful but not required as is experience managing loss prevention and employee relations issues.
