To oversee, assess, monitor and direct day program services in order to ensure compliance with operating standards and related rules and regulations governing funded serviced provided by the department.
Assesses, plans, implements and monitors policies and procedures, establishes systems to ensure total compliance with federal, state and local regulations governing the operation of Medicaid and other funded Program Services for persons with developmental disabilities.
Directs and monitors facility operations to ensure adherence to all agency and related policies and procedures.
Develops working relationships with OMRDD, families and other providers, this may include, but is not limited to, participation in agency-wide, local and regional committees.Assists in the development of program specific budget; controls and monitors actual expenses and projected basis on a daily basis.
Ensures that all program expenditures, including petty cash disbursements are in keeping with budget parameters and agency policy.
Oversees Medicaid billing, consumer transportation, consumer census, and other related areas.Ensures, through direct oversight and monitoring, that the program is rendering quality services to all consumers at maximum levels in all areas and in accordance with overall program treatment objectives.
Assesses and evaluates staff development needs, ensuring that all such needs are sufficiently and routinely addresses through utilization of internal and external agency resources
Ensures that all staff receives routine supervision.
Hires, orients, schedules, disciplines, and discharges assigned staff as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling or related Human Services field. Must have a VALID TRI-STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE (NYS, NJ OR CT)
At least seven (7) years experience in providing program services to the developmentally disabled population, including at least three (3) years supervisory/administrative experience.
Strong computer skills needed.
Must be able and willing to travel to multiple locations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrated competency in written, verbal and quantitative skills.
