Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (CHONJ) is an award winning medical institution and teaching hospital. Physician will be responsible for primary care of all pediatric intensive care unit patients, with three other physicians, including call coverage evenly distributed between the group. Prior experience with post-operative pediatric cardiothoracic surgical patients or pediatric cardiology patients is recommended.
NBIMC is the only major teaching hospital in New Jersey to be named a Thomson 100 Top Hospital Performance Improvement Leader for two consecutive years. The August 2009, 2010 and 2011 issues of US News & World Report America’s Best Hospitals ranked NBIMC, The Heart Hospital, in the top 50 hospitals nationally for specialty care in heart and heart surgery.
