A Sr. Compensation Analyst works with Compensation, Benefits and Payroll departments to produce, develop and analyze compensation information including programs, surveys, reports, processes, procedures, etc.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with the administration of bi-annual review and bonus cycles. Updates compensation data in HR system, performs testing of system changes and ensures data integrity.
Participates in various industry related compensation surveys and utilizes data to ensure competitive pay practices.
Maintains the Compensation Schedule and Contract Obligations for the Compensation Reviews bi-annually.
Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts, and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.
Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements.
Assess need for and develop job analysis instruments and materials.
Evaluate job positions, determining classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and salary.
Prepare job descriptions and maintain proper formatting.
Observe, interview and survey employees and conduct focus group meetings to collect job, organizational and occupational information.
Plan, develop, evaluate, improve and communicate methods and techniques for selecting, promoting, compensating, evaluating and training workers.
Provide advice on the resolution of classification and salary complaints.
Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, compensation policies and classification programs.
Other duties as needed by the department.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS.
Education and Work Experience Required
BA in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in the Human Resources field in Compensation.
PHR or CCP certification
