Description

The candidate for this position will be responsible for providing on-site technical support for customers in the site managed customers in the D/FW area. Job duties may also require travel to out of state customers in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and California.

Field Support Engineers are the face of our company and are often called to represent us at times that are time critical and stressful to our customers. As a representative to our company, it is imperative that the Field Support Engineer be prompt, courteous, professional, and understanding of our client's needs. The candidate must be able to listen, be patient and understanding, and bear the brunt of the issue on their shoulders. Field Support Engineers need to be able to provide the most accurate and swift diagnosis to resolve immediate customer concerns and determine the best long term preventative actions to put in place. Employees in this position will often be asked to help troubleshoot issues for our customers with no prior knowledge of customer equipment, network topography, applications information, or documentation. It is, therefore, a crucial component that the Field Support Engineer candidate be able to apply thorough observation, general troubleshooting skills, research, and personal experience to non-standardized environments to get the customer back in service. Responsibilities
  • Hardware, software and peripheral installation and/or troubleshooting
  • Workstation optimization and diagnostics
  • Troubleshooting internet access and other networking issues
  • Security Services
  • Virus, malware and spyware removal
  • Antivirus, anti-malware and anti-spyware software installation and maintenance
  • Network and local workstation security
  • Apple iPhone, Blackberry and other mobile device configuration
  • On-site and online backup sales and configuration
  • Computer hardware and peripheral sales
  • Customer employee training
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Work under general supervision
  • Exercise creativity and ability to adapt to resolve critical customer issues
Requirements
  • Requires at least 2 - 4 years of technical experience in the field or in a related area
  • Familiarity with Windows and Macintosh operating systems
  • Must have reliable, personal transportation to use for work
  • Must have a clean appearance, positive customer report and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs unassisted
  • Associate's Degree or its equivalent and/or A+ certification preferred
