The BRFSS Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the Bureau of Sociological Research (BOSR) activities related to the 2013 Nebraska Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey(BRFSS) project. Responsibilities include call center management and operations; communication with state government staff and other BOSR staff; sample management; programming, preparation, coordination, and administration of telephone surveys; processing of completed surveys; data file preparation; report writing; and other project-related needs, as arise.
Bachelor's degree plus 6 months experience collecting social science data required; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience supervising interviewers, analyzing data, creating/managing large spreadsheets, and writing reports required. Working knowledge of CATI, word processing, spreadsheet, database and SPSS software essential. Ability to organize large amounts of information; experience in data analysis (using SPSS) and report writing skills; problem solving skills; and excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary.
