Under administrative direction, serves as the strategic and logistical coordinator for community outreach projects and programs and for external and internal organizational events to further the public awareness, community outreach and employee recognition goals of Bonfils Blood Center and its subsidiaries and programs.
Under administrative direction, plans all Bonfils’ public events and provides support for employee recognition and internal stakeholder led events.
1.1. Takes lead on all external events, including, but not limited to Community Lifelines, promotional blood drives, Drive for Life and community supporter recognition events.
1.2. Manages and maintains event timelines, documentation and budgets for all events.
1.3. Responsible for all logistical details of events including staff and volunteer assignments and vendor management.
1.4. Evaluates each event and establishes and documents recommendations for future events.
1.5. Develops measurement technique to measure success of each event against organizational and department goals.
1.6. Works closely with Marketing and Communication team members to promote events and other community outreach initiatives to internal and external stakeholders as deemed appropriate.
1.7. Works with Community Relations Specialist to coordinate event participation of Bonfils’ Ambassador Program participants and other volunteers.
1.8. Works with Bonfils Blood Center Foundation staff members to promote and coordinate annual golf tournament and benefit concert and other fundraising events as deemed appropriate.
1.9. Provides guidance and consultation services to other Bonfils departments to ensure effectiveness of internal and other company stakeholder events.
Conducts community outreach and school education requests as needed.
2.1. Responds to education requests from schools, community groups and businesses.
2.2. Creates and updates outreach program curriculum as needed.
2.3. Conducts or facilitates tours and outreach presentations as requested.
Assists with the writing and editing of publications, such as Bonfils’
, annual report and other communication tools as deemed appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred or at least three years of equivalent work experience

This a full time position with full benefits reporting Monday through Friday during regular business hours (with some flexibility required to accommodate business needs) to our headquarters at 717 Yosemite Street in Denver. The starting annual salary is $35,431 to $43,575 depending experience.
