Job Description:
The Account Maintenance Clerk I performs post funding
debit and credit maintenance transactions to customer
accounts, processes related to the processing of loan
payoff lien release, ensures compliance with associated
state regulatory release requirements, and processes
associated with customer correspondence.
This team member has access to multiple company system
applications and is responsible for updating account
status. This team member has contact with other company
departments, as well as, branches, customers, financial
institutions, and automobile dealerships.

JOB DUTIES:
Provide quality, professional customer service to each
incoming and outgoing telephone
call, written request and interaction with our internal
and external customers.
Effectively and efficiently utilize systems and tools to
perform duties and service customer requests. Accurately
document efforts in computer system.
Process system queue requests that are received from
internal company departments with accuracy, efficiency,
and within the

designated service levels. Sample requests include:
Charge Offs, Due Date Changes,
Deferments, Name Change, Update Credit Bureau, SCRA, and
Payoff Title Releases.
Process manual requests received from internal company
departments, external customers
and third parties with accuracy, efficiency, and within
the designated service levels.
Sample requests include: BK Writedowns, Opt Out, Payment
Histories, Address
Maintenance and Returned Mail. Process release of lien
documents and contracts, after
payoff within service level according to current policy
and procedure.
Complete a transaction recap report on a daily basis to
identify items posted. Ensure that all
reconciling or out of balance issues are resolved. OTHER
IMPORTANT DUTIES
Complete special projects and perform other work related
duties, as needed. Maintain
current knowledge of state and federal requirements for
area of responsibility.
Responsible for application of company policies and
state and federal requirements.
Regular attendance, punctuality and reliability.
Knowledge Some knowledge of credit and debit processing
in a finance or banking
related environment preferred. Some knowledge of retail
installment contracts, titles and
other related lien perfection documents preferred.
Skills Accurate 10-key skills(minimum of 10,000 kph).
Good organization and prioritization skills. Ability to
multitask, get along with others, follow directions and
accept supervision. Good verbal
and written communication, customer service, time
management, analytical and
negotiation skills. Ability to make decisions on
accounts in relation to the steps necessary
for resolution. Self-motivated and able to work with
minimal supervision while actively
participating in a team environment. Mathematical
ability to accurately perform various
debit and credit transactions. Accurate data entry,
proofreading and typing skills. Ability
to operate standard office equipment such as fax
machines, copiers, etc Experience
Customer call center service and/or telephone collection
and/or sales experience
preferred. Experience processing title documentation or
related experience preferred.
Experience in general office duties in a finance or
banking related environment.
HighSchool Diploma or equivalent required.
