Johnson Service Group has partnered with a company specializing in the control and measurement of fluids who is seeking a highly energetic Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract to hire position (direct hire for the right candidate).

In a fast paced environment, you will be performing design and development engineering for mechanical products and systems such as mechanical directional control valves, regulators and other company products used in industrial applications .

Essential Functions:
Using the 3P methods, you will Design and develop complex electro-mechanical components, mechanisms and systems for company products and test equipment to meet Design for Six Sigma criteria.
Per form stress analysis using COSMOS software.
Create computer aided design (CAD) engineering models, prototype and production drawings using Solid Works software.
Communicate and work with other teams within the organization to understand and apply the best methods for design.
Evaluate the effectiveness, tooling and fixtures of new and modified engineering designs.
A ssess the ability to manufacture a product design including required machining, casting, molding, and sheet metal stamping; estimate costs and time to design and manufacture a product design.

BS in Engineering discipline.
3 - 7 years of demonstrated experience in the design and development of complex electro-mechanical components, mechanisms and systems.
Experience with computer aided design (CAD) program such as Solidworks and FEA program such as COSMOS.
Experience with GD&T ANSI14.5.
Experience with writing test plan and conducting product testing.
Experience with DFMEA and FSD.
Experience in the valve or fluid handling industry is highly preferred.
