Our Client, a multimillion dollar provider of web services for small and mid-sized businesses is seeking a Senior UI Designer / Visual Designer
Contract applicants only - Part-time
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Duration: 3 months contract with possible extension
Job Type: Part-time (about 20 hours a week)
Responsibilities
Responsible for the visual design of the product’s features and marketing materials, including visual concepts, typography and icon design.
Collaborate with our interaction designers and product managers to produce pixel perfect and brand-appropriate design concepts.
Work closely with our engineers to ensure that the frontend/backend implementation matches the visual comps. You will be task to create detailed visual specs for our engineers to follow.
Produce high quality visual assets for our product including icon design and style guides
Qualifications
Have a clean, sophisticated design sensibility
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe illustrator (knowledge in HTML5, CSS and mobile technology a plus)
Have solid communication and presentation skills (able to clearly articulate ideas in a group setting)
Possesses a portfolio site with solid examples of pixel perfect designs
Is detail-oriented
BA in design or closely related field
3-5 years experience in interactive design; or less experience with solid portfolio
