The Lead Medical Technologist is responsible for the technical and / or direct supervision of laboratory section(s) or shift. They are responsible for the implementation and performance of testing . In addition they are responsible for the policies, procedures, quality assurance, quality control, safety, and infection control practices within their respective departments. Ability is required to conduct and interpret laboratory tests, to organize, analyze, and evaluate controls and methods, and to establish an effective working relationship with others. Serves as on-site supervisor for the deparmtnet on day shift and weekends as scheduled. EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:
MT(ASCP) or CLS(NCA) or equivalent certification or registration.
Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or a related science field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of four years experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical setting.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
Minimum of three years experience in laboratory management in a clinical setting.
