Description
Job Summary : Manufacturing team member with the responsibility of performing moderate operations involving material handling, assembly, inspection and test of aircraft engines.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities :
·
Perform shipping and receiving by visually inspecting all incoming material and preparing all outgoing shipments for on-time delivery. Document material found to be discrepant.
·
Perform cycle and yearly inventory counts. Assist in the reconciliation of these inventories.
·
Prepare part kits per jet engine assembly build sequence.
·
Perform efficient and highest quality assembly of jet engine.
·
Assist in the utilization of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to perform engine work instructions and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to assist in controlling inventory.
·
Assist in the development of assembly planning for determining location, position, accuracy of fit, height stack-up, etc., of parts and assemblies by comparison to engineering drawings.
·
Assist in engine testing and analysis using sound principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and product requirements.
·
Document technical data and provide timely communication of results.
·
Work from basic blueprints, tool write-ups, sketches, verbal information, etc., to perform assigned work instructions.
·
Perform visual/quality checks of assembly hardware to maintain 100% traceability of product.
·
Actively works with support associates to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
·
Uses basic hand tools, check tools, special tools, fixtures, inspection gauges, and limited precision measuring devices to acquire product acceptance data.
·
Work with manufacturing equipment used in shipping/receiving, assembly, inspection, and test.
·
Works well within a team environment and is flexible with work hours, overtime, weekend work, travel, etc.
·
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
·
Ability to be flexible with job assignments and able to quickly master new tasks.
·
Basic understanding of safety/ergonomics to incorporate during all work processes.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
·


High school diploma or GED
·

FAA certified Powerplant Maintenance License
·

Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience in the aerospace industry

Knowledge:
·


Experience/Knowledge in one or more of the following aero/engine functions: assembly, inspection, testing, kitting, and/or inventory control.
·
Requires the ability to interpret basic drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
·
Requires use of hand tools and limited precision measuring instruments.
·
Experience with analysis of basic technical issues in area of expertise.
·

Basic understanding of safety/ergonomics to incorporate during build process.
·

Moderate computer skills to utilize MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
·

Basic understanding of analysis/investigative tools and systems.
·

Familiarity with regulatory agency requirements to assure compliance.

Job Related Specific Skills:

Moderate mechanical aptitude with ability to use shop hand and power tools, balancing equipment, perform engine test preparation, product acceptance testing, diagnosis, and equipment calibration
·
Ability to make proposals on findings within documented guidelines
·
Ability to use moderate trouble-shooting skills within area of expertise.
·
Ability to document basic test-operating procedures, engine test results, historical trends, and analysis related information.
·
Ability to apply moderate analytical problem solving skills with a moderate understanding of the engine manufacturing processes
·
Demonstrated ability to support continuous improvement at a department level within the organization
·
Moderate interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work within an international environment
