As a Professional Development Specialist at Duncan Aviation you will have an opportunity to apply your skills and experience to plan, design, implement, schedule, deliver, coordinate and follow-up on the technical training programs and employee development events, for assigned departments. The Professional Development Specialist:
Develops, delivers, facilitates, coordinates and maintains advanced training programs and new employee orientation.
Schedules and coordinates all training in support of Company and regulatory requirements. Serves as a liaison to outside vendors for scheduling training events. Communicates training opportunities to employees.
Assists department managers with developing annual training needs assessment and training budget. Monitors, tracks, and communicates progress of training received toward of the results of the needs assessment goals.
Works with department managers to identify and evaluate new training requirements, communicates training requirements to employees, and ensures timely completion of requirements. Monitors and promotes standardization of training conduct and implementation of training plans and opportunities. Recommends and maintains training materials and technical resources.
Makes recommendations and solicits information from the managers regarding technical and career development training programs to provide employees with the opportunity to maintain and increase skills necessary to achieve organizational and individual goals and maintain high quality standards and determine training programs’ effectiveness.
Coordinates record keeping related to employee training. Maintains secure database and files for accurately identifying employees’ technical and professional skills.
Manages multiple projects and influences outcomes with customers and peers using advanced needs analysis, curriculum design and program evaluation skills. Supports Leadership development through needs analysis, curriculum design and delivery. Serves as a lead worker on major training and development endeavors.
Depending on qualifications, this could be a Professional Development Specialist I, II or a Sr. Professional Development Specialist.

Education and Experience:
Associates degrees in related field or equivalent required.
Minimum three years Duncan Aviation experience and/or training development experience required.
Proven experience with group facilitation, training metrics and training system usage.
Prior leadership experience preferred.
