The primary responsibility of Manager - Store Trainee is to develop knowledge and practices of retail operations and merchandising within VF Outlet. While developing these attributes the Manager - Store Trainee will assist the store manager in day-to-day operations of the store including supervision, merchandising, opening and closing responsibilities and compliance with store policy and company standards. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Years of Related Professional Experience: 0-1.
Previous retail management experience is required
Bachelors degree preferred.
Very good communication (written and oral) skills and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Must have high level of initiative (self motivated).
Must be able to multi-task, focusing on completing the Management Training
Program in the course of business and assisting the store manager with store
Must be flexible with work schedule to complete tasks and assist when needed.
Weekend, holiday and evening work hours are required.
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk,
use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, or controls, stoop,
kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occassionally required to climb and
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occassionally lift and/or move up
to 50 lbs.
Minimal travel to assist with new store sets.
1. Complete Management Training Program.
2. Assist with supervising associates to ensure compliance of company standards.
3. Assist with product delivery. Efficient flow from warehouse to floor.
4. Provide superior level of customer service and assist associates with customer service issues.
5. Assist store manager in day-to-day operations, setting and achieving goals.
