Shared Services, a division of Enterprise Holdings, Accounts Receivables department has an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Receivable Manager-Cash Accounting. The Shared Services facility located in Tulsa, OK provides back-office, clerical, administrative, and accounting support to the field locations of National Car Rental, Alamo Rent-a-Car, and Enterprise Rent-a-Car. This position does not include a relocation package.
The Accounts Receivable Manager directs the cash accounting team supporting cash transactions from Odyssey, Ralph and intercompany Accounts Receivables. The Accounts Receivable Manager ensures procedures are well documented, current and efficient and works closely with field personnel, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and various other corporate departments to improve processes and procedures.
Oversee team of employees serving all 3 brands. Create performance measures to monitor team performance and enable feedback to be provided to team members. Develop and manage process to achieve team performance measures.
Oversee the review and processing of daily wire and check deposits; ensuring that receipts are posted accurately and timely.
Identify and implement efficiencies to reduce cost and improve team accuracy.
Ensure proper training for all team members and documentation of all processes.
Support field personnel with cash processing through Odyssey’s automated cash box system, including transfers of cash between cash boxes.
Establish and maintain strong lines of communication with corporate contacts, other department managers, Field Managers, Security Managers, and Operations Managers to obtain or clarify remit information.
Create and/or run new or existing PeopleSoft reports to analyze Cash Application Team output.
Work with implementation team to identify requirements, test and install new cash receipting system and modify impacted processes. Support and maintain system ongoing.
Monitor unapplied cash reports, including prepays, to identify and resolve issues; work with Accounting and AR systems in documenting and resolving reporting errors and modifying report logic.
Monitor and verify cash transactions flow to the ledgers correctly
Review foreign currency conversion and verify correct accounting of foreign exchange gain/loss
Calculate and prepare month-end cash accrual entry
Prepare and assist with applicable account reconciliations and maintain standards for clearing all items posted to accounts.
Oversee the preparation of journal entries.
Assist department manager with special projects as needed.
Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Directly supervise two or more employees (currently 4 direct and 13 indirect reports)
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Provide leadership in accordance with the organization’s policies and all applicable laws
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
5+ years experience handling Accounts Receivable/Cash Application responsibilities dealing with large volumes.
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Apart from religious observations, must be able to work between the hours Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm
Must be willing to accept starting pay of $50,000
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
Working knowledge of Accounting Systems (PeopleSoft, Odyssey, etc.)
Ability to apply knowledge in a fast moving, dynamic, and changing environment
Working knowledge of general accounting concepts
Ability to handle high-pressure environments
Excellent oral/ written communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain strong lines of communication with other departmental managers.
Must have high attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy within a fast paced environment.
