For Sargent & Lundy, you will be responsible to coordinate and work directly on a multi-discipline engineering team to design new facilities as well as major modifications to existing nuclear power stations. Immediate responsibilities include:
- performing structural analysis for new and existing equipment subject to design basis seismic loading.
- performing structural analysis of new and modified structures for typical gravity, wind, and equipment loads conditions.
- supporting operability analysis for plant SSCs by preparing technical justifications and analyses.
- provide engineering support during construction at client facilities on an as need basis, as well as on site technical support during refueling outages.
Must have a BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience.
Must be proficient in structural steel and reinforced concrete design and familiar with software MathCAD, STAADPro, GTStrudl, PCA Column, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Must be willing to travel to client sites and be able to obtain unescorted access to nuclear power facilities.
