The National Senior Marketing Specialist will manage the day-to-day creation and implementation of national marketing initiatives for the National Tax Office (NTO). In this role, the Marketing Specialist will regularly work with members of the NTO team and other National Financial Services Marketing personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage NTO marketing plan implementation

Create marketing strategies within the framework of the NTO strategic plan that drive revenue generation and expand depth of tax service offerings nationally.

Create and distribute national tax publications

External facing e-publications

Tax Alerts

Monthly e-newsletter

Other communications

Webinar invitations

External facing print publications

Business Tax Planning Guide

Individual Tax Planning Guide

Tax Pocket Guides

Master Tax Guides

Whitepapers/Thought Leadership Materials

NTO Insiders

Internal materials promoting tax technical communities

Format and distribute internal tax communications

Draft, edit and oversee the design of new marketing collateral for key tax initiatives and specialty services including flysheets, brochures, presentation of credential packages and other materials as deemed appropriate

Oversee development of collateral materials

Coordinate web-based marketing activities for the NTO

Manage, review and populate tax content on the CBIZ MHM website

Manage all external tax webinars in coordination with other NTO personnel

Secondary Responsibilities:
Writing / Design / Communication

Develop, produce and distribute collateral materials to achieve marketing goals

Create and distribute internal communications as needed

Other writing / design projects as assigned


Conduct market/industry research as needed

Maintain awareness of general economic and industry trends that could benefit client & prospect base

Manage tax subscriptions, distributions and data harvesting for key initiatives out of


Perform all other duties as required or assigned

Essential Skills:
Demonstrated strength in project management

Organizational skills and extreme attention to detail required

Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interface with all levels of Firm management, staff, clients and outside business contacts

Ability to work with and meet deadlines required

Strong copywriting and editing skills

Demonstrate autonomy in problem recognition and solving abilities

Ability to write reports, produce and update databases and spreadsheets

Knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of all accounting related and specialized functions in the organization as well as a strong understanding and ability to articulate the organizational structure

Excellent computer skills including: Internet (web maintenance and/or HTML knowledge a plus), Microsoft Office Suite, desktop publishing / graphics experience

Maintain confidentiality of client, company and personnel information

BA or BS in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English or related field strongly preferred.

3+ years of marketing experience required; and in a professional services firm strongly preferred

Working knowledge of public accounting or a professional services firm is desirable

Excellent written and oral communications skills required. Applicants should be prepared to provide writing samples

Excellent project management, analytical and research skills necessary

The ability to self-direct, organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects a must

Must be detail oriented and thorough

A creative, self-starter with an eagerness to learn
