You are a Linux System Administrator with a knack for digging deep to solve problems. You're comfortable digging into Linux internals to find that obscure bug in the interaction with a specific kerberos library, and also enjoy architecting and writing moderately-sized tools with a penchant for elegant, scalable, and maintainable solutions. As a member of a team of Systems Administrators, you will be responsible for taking the labs to the next level. You will help scale operations by automating repetitive tasks, and building comprehensive monitoring. You will keep the labs secure, while also being productive. All this while keeping the labs humming smoothly. Are you up to the task?
Provide Linux expertise and support to engineering team.
Update and configure lab routers.
Create new applications and tools for engineering lab environments.
Maintain and build on existing code base. Write comprehensive documentation.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. At least 5 years experience with Linux or UNIX.
Solid scripting (bash, python) or coding (C++, java) experience.
Proven in-depth knowledge of Linux internals and common UNIX daemons (syslogd, httpd, nfsd, sshd, etc).
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking (DNS, DHCP, etc).
