Provide technical and operational support for well completion, stimulation, remedial and workover company-operated and non-operated oil and gas wells and projects by performing the following duties:.

Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following but not limited to since other duties may be assigned:

  • Plan and coordinate all well completion, stimulation, remedial and workover operations in company-operated and non-operated oil and gas wells and projects.
  • Prepare and/or have prepared completion and workover design and operations plan.
  • Prepare the specifications of materials and equipment requirements to meet operational needs.
  • Produce periodical report containing evaluation of expected vs. actual with the analysis of problems occurred and measures to improve HSE and performance.
  • Ensure proper well completion and workover data documentation.
  • Conduct inspection of the tubing, downhole and wellhead equipment recovered from company operated wells; analyze the conditions of these equipments.
  • Assure the compliance with regulatory requirements for company-operated completion and workover activities.
  • Negotiate contracts for services providers, consultants, and equipment vendors when needed.
  • Prepare and/or approve the standards and procedures for completion, stimulation, cleanup, testing, logging and coiled tubing operations.
  • Prepare, recommend and submit AFEs (Authority for Expenditure) for the Company operated wells and outside-operated for completion and workover of wells.
  • Prepares reviews, approves or recommends approval of invoices for payment for company-operated and outside-operated fields/blocks.
  • Implement Company‚Äôs and industry best practices and compare performance with references (benchmarking).
  • Interact with Petrobras well engineering area to assure that PAI uses the most suitable completion, stimulation and workover technology available for its projects.
  • Make presentations to partners and attends partner operations and technical meetings..
  • Must abide by all QHSE policies and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering from four-year college or university plus 10 years experience in offshore sub-sea completions

Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to operate
  • a telephone, fax machine, scanner, and other non-specified office equipment
  • a computer with the following software: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Lotus Notes, MSProject, oilfield programs, and other proprietary software
Written and verbal fluency in
  • English
  • Portuguese (desirable)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format; make technical presentations to peers, managers, partners, government agencies, and at prospective business deal meetings.

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity analysis.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to work with little supervision; to work on a team: share activities, review tasks performed by others, give and accept feedback, accept supervision and time controls.

Managerial or supervisory experience in deepwater completion activities.

Strong technical experience and knowledge of completion and petroleum engineering functions.

Industry knowledge of completion, workover and production operations offshore gulf of Mexico or Brazil.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering from four-year college or university plus 10 years experience in offshore sub-sea completions

This job is performed in a typical office environment with occasional trips to platform or rig sites. The technical and operational support for the drilling of Company-operated and non-operated oil and gas wells may also be performed at rig site
