*Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
*Proficient with Microsoft Office applications [i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc...) and WordPerfect Office Suite.
*Requires paralegal certificate. An equivalent level of legal training may be substituted with the approval of the COTR. At least two years of litigation paralegal experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
*Trial experience.
*At least one year of experience in automated litigation support. *Requires sound working knowledge of legal system, legal research procedures and sources of information.
*Requires excellent analytic
ability, and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and WestLaw.
*Experience with litigation tools.
*Should have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing,database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications. *Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.
*Some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of small office items.
*Ability to obtain a security clearance.
*Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Specific Job Description
This position is located at the Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commmission in Atlanta, GA located at 950 East Paces Ferry, N.E.

The Employee is expected to remain for the entire course of the litigation through trial.

The Employee will be primarily responsible for organizing documents, assisting in document production, assisting in preparing responses to written discovery, reviewing and summarizing depositions and related class action/private securities testimony and exhibits, preparing deposition exhibits, and assisting in all facets of trial preparation. It is likely that the defendants will submit extensive discovery requests, and the office will need to have their documents, facts and evidence fully organized and readily at hand in order to respond.

In addition, the Employee would perform the following tasks, but not limited to:
*Maintenance and control of documents produced in the investigation, including document inventory, indexing of all documents (and by particular witnesses, issues and subpoenas), and maintenance of the integrity of originals and copy sets;
*Summarizing transcripts of testimony from depositions taken in this case and in related class action/private securities suits, and summarizing investigative testimony;
*Assisting attorneys in organization and creation of witness binders, issue binders, and exhibit/document binders;
*Updating and maintenance of exhibit lists and original exhibits;
*Other document control matters and general assistance, including document tracking and retrieval, maintenance of certain files, copying as necessary to support the above efforts, developing system as needed to track documents produced without Bates-numbers or other identifiers, and supporting and assisting in development and use of document imaging/OCR system; and assisting in all aspects of trial preparation.

If time permits, other tasks could well include: assisting in general research of particular issues or matters in a case; and reviewing documents for particular issues or for deposition preparation.
