Position: The Department of Counseling and Student Development invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level for a nine-month appointment with possible summer teaching. The department is a teaching, student-centered department with collaborative faculty meetings.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities involve teaching graduate courses in EIU’s “First Choice” Master of Science in College Student Affairs program including Internship, Consultation Skills and Organizational Development, Community College and the directing of theses.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctorate in higher education in administration, college student affairs or related discipline with an emphasis in higher education/student affairs. Preferred qualifications include evidence of working in higher education or student affairs, effective teaching of college student affairs curricula, a research agenda evident through previous lines of inquiry and service to the profession.
