An Assistant Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Client Services. He or She is responsible for the various tasks involved in the overall operation of the store including but not limited to: supervising staff, assisting the Store Director in controlling expenses, inventory, merchandising, and shrink.
Ensure that each client receives outstanding client service by providing a client friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every client, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of client service.
Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
Assign the shift tasks and assignments, and ensure completion through follow-up
Assist the staff in completion of tasks if needed
Assist Store Director in ensuring appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise presentations, signage, and assortment in all departments; ensure sales floor is adequately stocked
Assist Store Director in training and development of staff as directed
Continually evaluate and react to performance issues
Assist the Store Director in controlling shrink, expenses, and payroll
Any other responsibilities as assigned by Store Director
Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store weighing up to 50lbs
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to bend and kneel as needed to stock shelves
Ability to operate all store equipment necessary to run the store
Ability to process information through computer system and POS register system
Ability to communicate with associates and guests
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock room, and register area
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
