Employees in this role have the responsibility and experience for the ongoing identification, qualification and development of complex infrastructure and cloud services business opportunities within the US Government and S&L sectors, selected based on proactive market screening, targeting, and business analysis.

They develop extensive, trusted executive and senior management relationships in client organizations through their ability to articulate complex solutions to achieve desired client business outcomes and value propositoins. They must understand large and complex services engagements in the Government Infrastructure and Cloud arena including the appropriate methods and skills needed to solve business problems in the clients industry. They identify and develop the most attractive opportunities for potential engagement. They work collaboratively with other teams across IBM and with other partners and outside consultants as appropriate.

They are responsible for the ongoing qualification of these opportunities and recommend whether to engage, disqualify, or refer opportunities to other IBM groups. They own the opportunity until formal sales engagement and facilitate the transition to an engagement capture team, and remain actively involved during the capture phase.

They typically report to a Business Development Executive. Primary Measurements are: Contract Signings and Revenue performance; Business development metric such as, pipeline of well-qualified business.
Required

Bachelor's Degree

At least 2 years experience in Advise Client on Cloud Computing

At least 5 years experience in Apply knowledge of Infrastructure Solutions to create strategic value propositions for clients

At least 3 years experience in Lead the winning of 3 or more Federal Infrastructure Services Procurements of at least $100M

At least 2 years experience in Knowledge of Key Competitors - Amazon, HP/EDS, CSC, GDIT, Lockheed Martin, Dell/Perot, Google

At least 5 years experience in Business Development, Sales, Capture Management

At least 5 years experience in Working in US Federal Government of US Federal Contracting Environment

Readiness to travel Up to 2 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)

U.S. citizenship required

English: Fluent

Preferred

Master's Degree in Information Technology

At least 3 years experience in Advise Client on Cloud Computing
