Microsoft Corporation seeks a Solution Partner Account Manager (PAM) for our top System Integrator (SI) Partners. This position requires experience in channel sales and a deep knowledge of solution provider operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, has a strong channel background and the ability to work comfortably with executives in partner organizations. Working knowledge of sales and marketing processes and Microsoft technology is essential.
Your primary responsibility is to grow partner influence of Microsoft revenue through building solution capacity across key Microsoft workloads. The Solution PAM role is to be a sales manager across a partner organization and work in partnership with business owners to extend the Microsoft sales force through strategic partner relationships.
Key competencies required for this role include: Confidence, Interpersonal Awareness, Building Partner Relationships, Drive for Results, and Strategic Sales Planning. Candidate must possesses strong collaboration skills and integrate across Microsoft’s customer segments, business groups, marketing, services and account teams to enable joint selling with our field sales force. This role involves interaction with key decision influencers and provides a great opportunity for career advancement in sales as well as other organizations across Microsoft.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with partner executives across sales, marketing and technical delivery teams
C-Level Trusted Advisor by providing strategic guidance and thought leadership
Execute business planning, sales, and marketing activities to achieve MS revenue/deployment goals and grow partner profitability
Provide executive engagement and partner advocacy that leads to world class partner satisfaction
Enable partner sales, technical and marketing capacity and capability that results in growth of mutual businesses.
Develops strong and capable partners to achieve sales targets (e.g. channel incentives, pipeline management and execution of Partner Solutions Plans)
Opportunity Management: Actively identify, drive & own Partner-led Microsoft pipeline and conduct opportunity reviews that enable joint selling across the ecosystem
Measure and manage Partner’s success against metrics to maximize win-win results and strategic partner investments
A proven track record of developing, implementing, & representing cross-group initiatives is critical. A BS/BA is required along with 10 years’ experience in a related field. Must be able to accommodate 30%+ travel requirements and the location can be Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Arkansas, or Oklahoma.
