This position is responsible for performing confidential human resources and payroll related duties. These duties include maintenance of employee and payroll records; assisting in coordinating safety policies and training; assisting in managing worker's compensation; assisting in maintaining DOT employee files; managing new hire orientation and training and assisting in managing unemployment claims and hearings.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Required Competencies & Other Skills:
Maintain payroll information and data to include updating employee payroll records. Communications with Land O'Lakes Payroll and Benefits Departments as necessary. Respond to inquiries regarding employee data. Assist in managing DOT files for CDL drivers. Assist in recruiting efforts including advertising, interviewing and processing paperwork. Coordinates temporary labor as needed. Lead new hire orientation and maintain training logs. Assist in management of Worker's Compensation program and maintain WC files. Coordinate monthly training calendar. Assist in planning employee recognition and retention programs. Coordinates meeting and travel arrangements as needed.
Preferred Experience & Education:
Some college preferred. Three years in confidential HR supporting role preferred.
