Director-level administrative position with multiple year contracts. Teaching opportunities are dependent on experience and academic specialization. Expertise in operations management is preferred. Reports to the College Provost. The Director is responsible for the enrollment and overall development and promotion of the graduate program in business. The Director works in coordination with the Loras College Chair of the Division of Business Administration. The Director will collaborate with faculty and staff to deliver exceptional service to prospective and current MBA students. The Director's duties include but are not limited to the following areas:
Program Development and Accreditation Responsibilities:
*Coordinates curriculum review and program assessment.
*Develops external funding to support current and future goals of the program.
*Oversees public relations including preparation of catalog information, fliers, and presentations to media.
*Organizes and coordinates recruitment efforts with the Office of Admission.
*Builds strong relationships with the external business and alumni communities.
*Reports to appropriate committees.
*Develops partnerships with external course providers.
*Prepares the annual budget and strategic plan.
*Working with the Division Chair and the Provost of the College.
*Assists with the hiring and development of new faculty, adjunct faculty and staff.
*Supervises and evaluates faculty within the MBA Program.
Teaching, Student, and Advising Responsibilities:
*Teaches appropriate graduate and/or undergraduate courses within the Division.
*Coordinates the placement of internships.
*Advises graduate students including the development of their degree plans.
DIVISION OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION: The Division of Business Administration consists of 13 full-time faculty members. The Division of Business Administration offers an MBA with a concentration in business analytics and undergraduate majors in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems (MIS), and Business, with minors in accounting, business, and MIS, and a concentration in international business.
Earned doctorate in operations management from a regionally accredited institution preferred, MA, MS, or MBA required. The position requires evidence of strong student recruitment and marketing experience with a solid understanding of academic culture. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to work in a team environment; collaborative management style; and a strong commitment to diversity. Candidates will be expected to support the mission of the College and respect the College's Catholic tradition.
