Responsible to manage various business and process engineering activities with TIMET material processing performed with subcontractor resources and internally. Lead , facilitate, and execute process engineering and continuous improvement projects with TIMET subcontractors using a variety of engineering and continuous improvement skills. Projects require a cost justification, project plans and timely focused project execution resulting in measurable, sustained business improvements.
Job responsibilities will include responsibilities at the TIMET-Toronto Plant and with subcontractors:
On-site surveillance of subcontracted hot working processes.
Technical capability evaluations and approvals of new subcontractors.
Identifying/Leading yield and cost saving projects.
Assisting in the design of new product trials and documenting results.
Evaluating/facilitating information exchanges with TIMET and PCC mills.
Corrective and preventive action investigations.
Technical report writing.
Involvement in customer related issues.
Additional Responsibilities :
Work with other TIMET locations on continuous improvement initiatives as required.
Utilize Access databases and Excel Worksheets as required.
Attend training classes and seminars to learn C.I. methodologies and improvement tools.

B.S. in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Other disciplines will be considered

Experience with statistical quality control techniques is preferred
Familiarity with Metallurgical Testing and NDT techniques is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Access and/or Minitab is a plus
