Under general direction, provide consultative services and technical assistance to local school system personnel, classroom teachers and other state and private agencies in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the work of turnaround within Priority and Focus Schools to increase student achievement and close achievement gaps.
Supervise professional and support staff and provide consultative services, technical assistance and direction to local education agencies and KDE offices in planning, developing and implementing Gap Delivery Plan.
Provide leadership and support to Priority Schools, Education Recovery Staff, and Centers for Learning Excellence as set forth in 703 KAR 225.
Manage the work of the branch by establishing goals aligned with KBE and KDE priorities, making assignments, monitoring progress and communication, office processes, procedure and regulations.
Collaborate with education partners within Priority and Focus Schools, Education Recovery Staff, Centers for Learning Excellence, and various tasks forces and advisory committees that support the work of turnaround.
Analyze data; prepare presentation, budgets, research, reports, testimony for KBE, legislative committees and other agency partners and boards.
Interpret laws and regulations appropriate organizations, agencies and individuals as they relate to Priority and Focus Schools. Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements : Work is typically performed in an office or school setting. Travel may be required.
