Currently, Meijer is looking for a Customer Service Line Team Leader. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for providing remarkable customer service and financial stability through the core functions of the Customer Service, General Merchandise, and Gas Station departments. The individual will also deliver remarkable customer service by achieving Brand promises, and develop a team that consistently meets goals for productivity and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:
Delivering on Brand Promises through team execution; i.e. "Provide an easy shopping experience for our customers"

Delivering exceptional, fast and friendly customer service

Ensuring the daily, weekly, and period General Merchandise sales goals are met

Writing schedule for entire Customer Service Department

Ensuring the Softlines Department is stocked and merchandised to Meijer standards

Mentoring and coaching Financial Team Leader to ensure financial goals are exceeded

Mentoring and coaching Customer Experience Team Leader to ensure customer service goals are met or exceeded

Mentoring and coaching Gas Station Team Leader to ensure gas station metrics are exceeded

Mentoring and coaching Service Trainer to provide quality training to deliver a talented and fully trained team

Mentoring and coaching the Softlines Team Leader to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded

Mentoring and coaching the General Merchandise Zone Team Leader to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded

Ensuring the completion of all General Merchandise and Service Assessments weekly

Promoting succession planning by providing career paths and identifying development needs for the Customer Experience and Gas Station Team Leaders

Completing Service Assessments weekly

Reviewing Customer Service Surveys and customer feedback from previous week or day

Spending 30/45% of time on sales floor to communicate with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service is being delivered

Reviewing labor plans and results with Team Leaders, Customer Experience Coordinators and Service Coordinators

There is a 48 hours (exempt) pay base for this position

Other daily tasks as required

Qualifications

Successful completion of all required curriculums

Ensures the Customer Service team is properly staffed and thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs and have completed all required training curriculums

Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills

Ability to analyze financial data and create a culture of compliance

Ability to work with team to deliver fast and friendly customer experience to all of our customers

Ability to develop and achieve sales goals through team

Comprehensive knowledge of all functions and services provided by the Customer Service, General Merchandise and Gas Station Departments

Expert in customer service

Maintains a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership

Possesses exceptional leadership, mentoring and communication skills

Possesses exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing
