This is a temporary position of undetermined length.
Primary responsibility will be to provide daily system administration support of classified programs. The candidate will maintain and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments. Other responsibilities will include:
o Build and maintain servers for User Authentication, DNS, NFS , and other present and future service requirements.
o Build and maintain Window /Linux Servers and Desktops.
o Respond to user requests.
o Ensure all Information Systems (IS) equipment are configured and maintained to retain DSS accreditation during classified operations
o Verify automated audit functions are performing properly
This position can be a Salary Grade E03 or Salary Grade E04 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 6 to 10 years relevant professional work experienc e or equivalent.
Candidate must have 6 to 10 years' experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server/Client operating system.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory.
Strong knowledge of Redhat Linux operating system.
Strong knowledge of TCP /IP concepts.
Familiar with storage concepts ( SAN or Local Attached).
Shell Scripting experience.
An active US DoD Secret Clearance.
Worked in a closed area and are familiar with DSS NISPOM requirements.
In-depth understanding of Solaris operating system.
In-depth understanding of CentOS operating system.
Working Knowledge of Cloud Technologies.
Working knowledge of Virtualization Technologies.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Solid organizational skills.
