We are looking for dynamic individuals to fill a very important role within our organization. This position involves the following:
Reading test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment to be used.
Testing functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and parts down to the component level.
Calibrating test instruments according to specifications.
Connecting units to be tested to test equipment such as oscilloscope, function generator, multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, etc.
Reading analog or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance.
Comparing results with specifications and records test data or plots results on graph.
Analyzing test results on defective units to determine cause of failure, applying knowledge of electronic theory and usage of electronic test equipment.
Confering with engineers regarding test procedures and defects in order to resolve problems and improve processes.
Recording defects and returns units to appropriate department for repair with detailed findings.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree preferred; experience may be substituted for those holding a degree in an unrelated field, 2 to 5 years relevant work experience.
