Monitor the gymnasium during Sunday evening open basketball time from 3:00pm- 10:00 pm; help players resolve disputes by using our gym rules; enforce Town, Department, and facility rules.

Perform reception, admission fee collection, general facility monitoring and program support at the Chapel Hill Community Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors facility: open and/or close facility, supervise lobby, gym and multipurpose room, monitor general organization and cleanliness of the facility; replenish supplies as needed.

Customer Service: assists patrons who walk-in, answers phone, checks out equipment to patrons.

Operates computer-based daily admission/ pass registration/ rental program software; collects admission and pass fees; runs reports and prepares deposits of monies received during shift.

Rentals: supervise rentals, including after-hour rentals.

Programs: assist with programs as needed; setup and take down tables, chairs and other equipment

Carries out job duties in a safe manner in accordance with all Town, department and regulatory policies; follows safety procedures. Identifies unsafe situations and work hazards, corrects them if possible, and reports them to their supervisor

Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge:
Town and department policies and procedures.

Department rules and regulations.

Relevant town ordinances

First-aid and CPR/AED.

Ability to:
Communicate orally and in writing.

Perform basic mathematical calculations.

Observe large groups of people in order to enforce rules.

Operate calculator, computer, and telephone.

Perform general housekeeping duties.

Read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.

Experience with cash handling and collecting fees.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer operation and experience with software such as Microsoft Office.

Experience related to customer service and facility monitoring.
