ibml’s corporate HQ in Birmingham, AL is currently seeking a Marketing and Event Coordinator to assist the Marketing department with the management and coordination of all marketing efforts. This involves logistics for trade shows and other events, website updates, coordination of videos, photos, market research and any other vehicle or medium used to communicate both internally and externally the company’s marketing message, including Social Media.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Business
2-4 years experience with event planning, marketing, website management and social medial marketing
Trade show experience is desirable
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (including proofreading) and have knowledge of social networking channels
Excellent planning, presentation and organization skills
Realistic scheduling and observance of deadlines
Integrity, creativity, intellectual curiosity, high standards, persistence, and achievement-oriented
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Ability to prioritize and work independently
Proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Social Media channels (Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter)
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Access)
Plans meetings, events and trade shows by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists
Coordinate services for on-site and off-site events, such as webinars, online meetings, accommodations, transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and shipping
Maintain and coordinate event calendar and database with relevant event information
Meet with necessary individuals to plan scope and format of events, monitor budgets, or to review event progress.
Monitor budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
Evaluate and select providers of services according to specified requirements
Arrange the availability of audiovisual equipment, displays, transportation, and other event needs.
Review event bills for accuracy
Coordinate leads from trade shows and other events with business development representative for further qualification
Responsible for website maintenance to ensure it is current with new marketing collateral and other needed updates
Implement marketing and advertising campaigns
Coordinate all marketing videos and repurpose to websites and social media networks as appropriate
Coordinate and execute all corporate photo shoots
Assist in proofreading all corporate marketing materials
Post and distribute corporate news releases and marketing collateral for easy access both internally and externally, as appropriate
Coordinate the format and layout of marketing collateral and other materials as needed
Assist in developing ROI analysis for various marketing activities
Responsible for posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets and for continuous monitoring of all sites.
Responsible for tracking social media influence measurements, partnering with other departments to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy, ensuring consistency of messages across multiple networks
Assist marketing department with other duties, as assigned
Assist the Product management ream with data entry and updates to the Price Book
