As a Website Content & Design Specialist at Duncan Aviation you will plan, produce, design and maintain company websites. Create web-based promotions and plan digital and mobile initiatives. Ensures websites support the needs of customers / sales staff. Researches and assesses products and services that could enhance the on-line experience. Formats content for Content Management Systems and standalone web pages. Optimizes and publishes web content through various distribution channels.
Plans and designs organized, efficient and visually pleasing web pages for various websites using strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, user-oriented design, User Experience Design (UXD) and mobile compatibility principles. Formats content for various digital publications including websites, blogs, digital magazines, digital newsletters, HTML emails, etc. Plans and develops HTML prototypes and webpage designs. Designs original graphics, icons, digital and print publications to effectively convey messages with significant impact.
Plans and designs website navigation, information architecture and page flows to support easy navigation for large amounts of content and encourage visitor engagements. Works with Marketing Communications Art Director to establish visual standards and style guides for the look-and-feel of websites and various digital publications, and ensures compliance across multiple channels.
Plans, produces and implements web initiatives that create value for customers using a working knowledge of web application design, content production and distribution methods. Collaborates with various team members and contractors for planning and production of web initiatives. Occasionally manages contractors for mobile applications, web applications and other projects.
Assesses internal requests for content changes and new features, collaborates with appropriate personnel to find constructive solutions, and designs, develops, and implements solutions accordingly. Anticipates the needs of internal and external users and identifies improvements to enhance site effectiveness.
Repurposes content for various types of digital publications and promotion through different distribution channels for best effect. Identifies opportunities for new content formats and distribution that are appropriate for modern technologies and the interest of customers and prospects.
Optimizes and organizes content for websites using strong knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and site structure. Collaborates with coworkers on keyword research and selection, and trains coworkers on SEO standards for content creation. Tags content and maintains tag lists for usability, search and navigation.
Creates and reviews promotional URLs for print publications for usability and formatting. Creates QR codes and tracking URLs as needed for promotions. Manages and monitors webmaster e-mail account and website communications. Establishes and maintains site file structures. Reviews websites for broken links.
Evaluates website performance and channel performance using Google Analytics and other reporting tools. Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement.
Posts content to social channels as requested by the company's Social Media Lead. Maintains and monitors social accounts as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Applications Design or related field or equivalent required. Specific experience in web design, web development, user experience design and web marketing preferred.
Minimum three years previous related experience in website content management and design required.
