The Recovery Center at Sarpy is a non-acute inpatient facility. This is a secure Program that provides more structured support to individuals with a Mental illness who are transitioning out of state or acute hospital psychiatric settings.
The Licensed Mental Health Professional will:
-Establish therapeutic relationship with residents
-Coordinate and collaborate with agencies such as State and County Mental Health Services, Public Defenders Office, Child Protective Services, and Probation Department
-Provide general casework services to assigned clients and their families
-Provide assessment, diagnosis, and discharge planning
-Be part of treatment planning team
One year of direct service experience with severely or persistently mentally ill adults in an inpatient or outpatient setting is required. A Masters Degree in Social Work or in Counseling from an accredited graduate school, an MFT or LCSW license by the State of Nebraska and a valid Nebraska Driver's License are also required. Must have belief in individual’s ability to recover from disabling mental illness. Knowledge of basic psychiatric rehabilitation interventions is essential. Necessary skills include the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, a thorough understanding of client rights, an understanding of Nebraska’s involuntary treatment process and knowledge of basic psychiatric terminology. Criminal background clearance and education verification are required.
