SUMMARY: Oversee clinical supply utilization, research supply standardization opportunities, and serve as a supply chain resource between Materials Management and the clinicians and physicians of the organization. Develop and maintain the contract database in the Materials Management Information System along with analyzing supply spend, monitoring local and group purchasing organization (GOP) contract compliance, and coordinating procedures for supply evaluations and conversions with all impacted stakeholders. Oversee and manage contracts launched or expiring through the GPO or locally negotiated contracts and prepare comparative cost analysis spreadsheets and reports by product line for stakeholder review. Serve as the clinical co-chair of the Products Committee and facilitate multi-disciplinary supply chain improvement initiatives with the goal of providing quality products in the most cost effective manner. Assumes the responsibilities of the Director of Materials Management in his/her absence.
Required Education/Training: Consistent with clinical expertise and licensure/certification/registration
Required Experience: At least 4 years recent experience in a hospital-based direct patient care area; proficient in advanced PC skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; demonstrated knowledge of supplies and how they are utilized
