Organized in 1985, MTTI is a private post-secondary career and technical school located in Seekonk, MA (near the East Providence, RI line). MTTI is operated by the original owners, who, together with a dedicated team of experienced instructors and staff, help adult students prepare to successfully enter into employment in high-demand trades and industries.MTTI recently moved to custom-remodeled facilities that include over 40,000 square feet of classrooms and labs/shops. MTTI is now seeking high level candidates to fill a FULL TIME INSTRUCTOR position in our growing medical department. The Business Education Instructor position is an exciting opportunity for someone with supervisory office/administrative experience using the Microsoft Office Suite to prepare students for success as a medical professional that will lead to job satisfaction and successful job performance. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an office administration position using Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Preferred candidates will be enthusiastic, motivated and outgoing, with high standards of professionalism, time management and organizational skills. Instructors must possess strong work ethic, caring and patient attitude to work with different age levels and capabilities at once, and the ability to direct students to reach their potential not only in academic achievement but in personal and professional growth. Job Responsibilities: Follow the course syllabus consistent with course descriptions Impress upon each student the importance of exhibiting appropriate conduct in the workplace Evaluate students' progress and track time and attendance Maintain academic standards Maintain student records for grading purposes Review and be guided by student evaluations Maintain class website to keep students informed Attend faculty open houses, staff meetings and advisory board meetings Coordinate with Career Services to help aid students in internships and job search Enroll in courses of study to continue professional growth
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, or Medical Office Management or Certificate of completion in a CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant) or CEHRS (Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist) program required Office/Business or medical office experience Previous teaching experience a plus Knowledge of HIPAA compliance preferred Expert computer knowledge for medical offices: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Publisher) with a quick mastery of computer applications necessary for other functions required Basic to Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks 2011 software required Able to teach basic math concepts using Excel Able to teach basic grammar & punctuation as it pertains to office documents Help students create and edit their resume(s) for job search Prepare students for interviews and job readiness Work along with Career Services to aid students in finding suitable employment PLEASE INCLUDE A COVER LETTER with YOUR RESUME.
