The University of New Mexico's department of UNMTemps Services is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Postal Tech. UNMTemps provides staffing solutions to departments requesting temporary employees as positions become available due to a vacancy, when regular employees are absent, for peak work periods, and for special events. UNMTemps assignments/positions are non-benefits eligible. Days & Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Projected End Date: 11/19/2013 (UNMTemps assignments may end with little or no advance notice) Parking Arrangements: Parking arrangements will be the responsibility of the employee The Postal Tech receives, sorts, and delivers US Postal Service and campus mail. Prepares and processes First Class, Priority, Standard (Bulk), parcels, and accountable US mail. Operates and maintains computerized postage metering and weighing equipment.
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Good reading skills Ability to effectively manage time and schedule (time management skills) Ability to learn, understand and retain routes Ability to work independently Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
