The Maintenance Technician inspects, maintains, repairs and installs mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment at wastewater plant and/or pump stations.
High school or GED with the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Some vocational training and mechanical aptitude required, with the ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.
5 years experience in a water/wastewater treatment or other industrial process environment with knowledge of methods, principles and practices of maintaining and repairing equipment, instrumentation and associated systems preferred.
Lead and/or supervisor experience preferred.
Ability to manage CMMS preferred.
Experience with pumps, motor, hydraulics, compressed air, electronics (VFD's, PLC's etc.), high speed rotational equipment and conveying equipment preferred.
Experience working on electrical equipment, including medium voltage and 3-phase preferred.
Some travel may be required to support other facilities.
Must possess a valid driver's license (commercial license is desirable) and a safe driving record.
