This position will develop and maintain relationships with the Group Insurance Distribution Channel. Identify strategies to promote the sale of Group Insurance products and services.
This position can be located in any of the following cities: Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Kansas City and Omaha.
Generate profitable premium income by developing and maintaining contacts with distribution channel representatives in field meetings and proactive outbound phone calls to sell products. Explain and discuss products, benefits, services, rate structure, reporting advantages, and operations.
Coordinate and monitor distribution channel activities, setting up and assisting distribution channel representatives in meeting performance standards and profit goals, and providing guidance on marketing products. Manage personal travel and entertainment expenses to budget.
Provide service and support for distribution channels as directed, developing presentations and training for prospects and distribution representatives, responding to questions pertaining to product or processes, providing appropriate offers, and negotiating.
Provide on-going support for existing plans through producers, employers, internal staff, and business partners to retain clients and promote cross-selling strategies to add products and services for clients.
Develop and maintain current knowledge of company's products, policies and services.
Strong experience with Group Insurance products and marketing of Group Insurance products.
Licensed agent within six months of hire.
Demonstrated success and ability to build relationships with sales personnel
Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation and negotiation skills, and sound judgment.
Ability to work independently with little day to day supervision
Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and a valid driver's license
Ability to manage initiatives and projects.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of company products, systems, and processes supporting Group Insurance.
Knowledge of competitor's products and positioning.
