Are you seeking a rewarding position where you can impact the lives of others? If so, Ministry Home Care is seeking a Volunteer Community Outreach Coordinator to manage and develop our volunteer programs for the Stevens Point area.

As the

Volunteer/Community Outreach Coordinator

you will be responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, directing, and evaluating volunteers. You will also be responsible for the management and development of all volunteer programs.

You will be the key person in developing and implementing local fundraising activities with agency leadership and the home office community outreach staff, and for coordinating community education efforts.

The incumbent in this position will:

Recruit, evaluate and select volunteer applicants according to organizational standards. Provide orientation for new volunteers and ongoing support and education. Assign

volunteers to meet program


appropriate to volunteer interests and skills and patient/family needs.


Provide supervision and conduct an annual evaluation for each volunteer. Functions as a liaison between IDG and the volunteers. Participates in IDG meetings.


Maintain a file for each volunteer.


Prepare statistical reports on volunteer hours quarterly and as requested.


Represent and promote hospice to various community groups through educational programs. Organize and participate in seminars, workshops and/or continuing educational

programs and public


activities. Involves other staff in community education as appropriate.


Together with agency and home office leadership, actively participates in developing and conducting local fundraising efforts.


Documents volunteer hours cost savings in accordance with Medicare guidelines.


High School graduate plus post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant field (such as communications, public relations, human services, health). Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Requires a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.

Experience in organizing and directing volunteers preferred.

Valid Wisconsin drivers license, use of car and proof of auto insurance required.

Must be interested in and comfortable in fundraising, public speaking and management - experience preferred.

Requires the ability to organize, supervise, assess and direct volunteer activities.

Familiarity with the Marshfield area a plus.

Healthcare background helpful.
