Provide RF Engineering Design and Optimization for Sprint's Network Vision program.

Responsible for multiple aspects of RF engineering within assigned region including site selection support.

RF field timing/optimization, interference measurement/tracking.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, optimizing, analyzing and improving performance of CDMA and LTE networks.

Apply propagation theory, cellular theory, RF Engineering tools and antenna theory to choose cell site locations and placement.

Design wireless system using CDMA and LTE.

Responsible for capacity planning, frequency planning and carrier/interference (C/I) ratio analysis.

Site design. Participate in the search ring process and assist in the selection of cell sites that are RF-optimum.

Must work closely with market project managers during site selection and acquisition processes.

Work closely with outsourced vendors to support RF services in new markets (backhaul, RF sweeps/clearing and RF coverage).

This includes conducting detailed design reviews and market audits to ensure that all network objectives are fulfilled for RF coverage.

Train local market field techs to ensure that RF drive testing is done correctly.

Analyzes test results and work closely with RF planner to optimize network and prop model.

Assist commissioning and field teams during site construction and commissioning.

Background/Experience:
A minimum of two years, preferably five years, experience as a RF Engineer, in a network design and optimization environment.

Optimization, RF design experience, experience on tools like Planet, Acuver, Wind catcher and Actix Analyzer, XCAL & XCAP, TEMS is required.

Experience with equipment from Samsung, Nortel, Motorola, Alcatel Lucent is beneficial.

Necessary Skills/Attributes:
A Bachelor degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

Knowledge of 3G (CDMA 1xRTT and EV-DO) infrastructure equipment.

Knowledge of 4G (LTE) equipment preferred.

Knowledge of CDMA/EVDO carrier turn-up, Multicarrier optimization, PN planning, Paging Group planning, and Neighbor list optimization is preferred.

Physical/Mental Demands & Condition:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Must be skilled in developing and maintaining good working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
