SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director, Outbound Hub Operations, the 3PL Hub Relations Supervisor is part of the Outbound Hub operations team supporting 3PL and Campus Transportation operations.

This role drives transportation-related initiatives, projects and programs to support operational, 3PL, Campus Transportation, and Brand efforts to ensure Gap Inc. shipments meet service and delivery requirements while optimizing cost and service performance.

The 3PL Hub Relations Supervisor collaborates across several departments to leverage best practices, optimize resources and reduce complexity and redundancy within the Hub Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
·

Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to drive standardization within the Hub operations

·

Support the Hub team to resolve service failures and implement processes for continuous improvement

·

Identify areas of opportunities to cut cost without jeopardizing service

·

Provide project management support for 3PL network initiatives and provider transitions as needed

·

Point of contact for all LP related issues within the Hub network

·

Compile and analyze current and historical Hub market information to monitor trends, provide management visibility, and support operational improvement plans

Across all of these responsibilities, this role is required to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to

meet or exceed performance requirements in the areas of service, cost, speed, flexibility and reliability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·

Identify, pursue, and implement service offerings that meet customer needs and/or improve overall efficiency

·

Deliver analytical work required for decision-making about departmental direction and plans

·

Influence and educate key stakeholders to ensure alignment on operational and program-related solutions

·

Maintain Business Continuity Plans for Hub operations and 3PL Markets

·

Analyze cost, operational, and service implications of solutions to customers

·

Support

year-over-year productivity gains through improvement in cross-functional processes and systems

·

Drive provider performance through trend and root-cause analysis and appropriate corrective action measures to improve performance

·

Take on exception management of 3PL providers based on service, project, or escalation needs

·

Ensures team has appropriate tools, provides support and information, supports team performance, and supports key decisions that impact team direction

·

Champion change initiatives and continuous improvement while maintaining operational effectiveness & success

·

Leverage professional partnerships (internal & external) to enhance cross-functional work-flow, decision-making, and collaboration

Qualifications

1) Competencies:
·

·

This person must possess strong leadership skills to represent Hub Operations to internal / external business partners

·

Knowledge of Transportation and Supply Chain principles and processes – especially in 3PL and Campus Transportation Operations

·

Working PC skills utilizing , Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project

·

Demonstrated networking capabilities and ability manage Provider/ Carrier relationships

·

Strong senior management/executive presentation skills

2)

Minimum experience:
·

Five to seven years of progressive responsibility within Logistics / Transportation discipline strongly preferred

·

Two to five years professional experience leading others

·

Project leadership experience

·

Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment

·

Demonstrated team leadership

·

Logistics systems user experience (TMS, WMS, BOL Builder, Carton Matching, Load Planning) preferred

·

Strong Relationship/ Performance management experience

3)

Minimum educational level:
·

High School Diploma required

·

BA/BS degree in Business or Logistics preferred; or an equivalent in work experience

4)

Physical Requirements:
·

Travel Requirement: 15% - 25%

Flexible to work non-traditional hours (shift, weekend, on-call/off-hours support, and holidays) to support 24x7 operations

·

Flexible to adjust hours/schedule on short-notice (same day/weekend) to support unplanned issue resolution
